| Bio: | Tom Martens brings 30 years of combined experience to the C. S. Nelson Real Estate Company. Prior to starting with the company in 2000, Tom was Chief Appraiser for the Platte County Assessor's Office and held a Registered Appraisers license for a number of years.
Tom currently holds the position of Platte County Supervisor of District 1 and is Chairman of Platte Counties finance committee. Tom's County government background and his extensive knowledge of Platte County and its valuation and taxation systems are a definite asset to home buyers and sellers in today's competitive marketplace. Tom is a licensed Real Estate salesperson specializing in residential and commercial properties and also is experienced in property management.
Tom is a member of the National and State Associations of Realtors and also a member of the Columbus Board of Realtors where he serves as Chairman of the Columbus Board of Realtor's political action committee. Tom also serves on the board of directors for the East-Central District Health Departments.
In addition to the committees that Tom serves on, he is the originator and host of a historical sites tour of Columbus that is giving during our local "Columbus Days" celebration. Tom and his wife, Jackie, are parents of 3 grown children and have 10 wonderful grandchildren. In his spare time, Tom is a Regionally known Western historian specializing the history of "Buffalo Bill" Cody and his Wild West Show. Finding the "Right Home" for every buyer is Tom's ultimate goal.
