Mark grew up on a farm south of Exeter, NE where he spent his summers working for his father. He graduated from Exeter Public Schools and from Central Community College in Hastings with a degree in Architectural Drafting. Mark has been employed at Behlen Manufacturing Company for over 30 years in the Buiilding Engineering Department. Mark is married to Sharon (Gembica).
Mark is very active in the community and the Knights of Columbus Council #938, where hs has served as Grand Knight. He is a member of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce where he was in charge of the Santa House display in Frankfort Square for nearly 20 years and was chosen as the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce "Volunteer of the Year" in 1999.
